In what has been described by the owners of two local Richmond area companies as “a definite home-run!”, Dominic's of New York^® will be operating their expanded menu at their signature food operation inside the brand new Uppy's “On the Run” Exxon located at 3101 Lauderdale Drive in western Henrico County. The projected opening date is August 14, 2007.

John Felico, of FoodNet Franchising, LLC (the Richmond based creator of the franchise concept known as Dominic's of New York^® with over 50 locations on the east coast) was approached by Steve Uphoff, President and CEO of Uppy's Convenience Stores, Inc. (owner of the Richmond based company with 35 locations in Virginia) with the proposal. Mr. Felico said he was not very familiar with Uppy's at the time, but after visiting many of their locations, he determined this was an organization they wanted to work with. Steve Uphoff stated, “I am very excited about the opportunity to bring Dominic's of New York^® into the mix and had no idea they were working on a new concept. After seeing it first hand, to say I'm excited is an understatement.”

The Dominic's of New York^® Café will continue to offer the signature items the public has become accustomed to but will also offer so much more! Customers will find a full line of unique Panini's, Wraps, a host of new sandwiches as well as the “best burger in Richmond”. They will also introduce the

Dominic's Garden Grill concept which features made to order salads!

Uppy's will feature a sparkling new upscale Exxon “On the Run” location with a fully stocked array of convenience items to include beverages, food snacks, lottery, tobacco products, a state of the art touchless carwash, and, of course, high quality Exxon gasoline!

Both companies feel strongly that their Richmond based organizations share a similar culture regarding putting the customer first and a goal of making each shopping experience a pleasure. The plans for the immediate future are for 5 more joint ventures by the first quarter of 2008.
